The conference will be held at the Palais des Congrès in the magnificent city of Strasbourg, France, ideally located in the heart of Europe. The convention centre is a stone’s throw from the European Parliament, a brief tram ride away from the TGV (high speed train) station and just 20 minutes from the airport.

Strasbourg is the hometown of a number of major European institutions including the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights.
Strasbourg is also home to a major political and diplomatic presence. The town boasts no less than 46 embassies, 30 consulates and around a hundred international NGOs. Along with New York and Geneva it shares the privilege of hosting a major international organisation without being a national capital.

Since 1988 the town has been listed as World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. A good example is the historical town centre overlooked by its marvellous cathedral, a living symbol of Gothic art. With its rivers, canals, pools and ponds, Strasbourg is completely ringed by water and waterways. Cradled by the two arms of the River Ill, its mostly pedestrianised town centre is perfect for strolling and cycling.
