Jihong Yu obtained BS (1989), MS (1992), and PhD (1995) degrees from Jilin University, and worked as a postdoctral fellow first at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and then at Tohoku University, Japan during 1996-1998. Since 1999 she has been a full Professor in the Chemistry Department, Jilin University. She was appointed as the Cheung Kong Professor in 2007. Her research interest is the design and synthesis of zeolitic inorganic nanoporous materials. She serves as the Editor of the journal of Micorporous and Mesoporous Materials, and the Advisory Board Member of the journal of Chemistry of Materials.
