Kazuyuki Kuroda received his PhD degree in Applied Chemistry from Waseda University in 1979. He has been a full professor since 1989 at the same university. He has been appointed as an affiliated professor of Stockholm University since 2007. He was a principal investigator for the CREST program (Japan Science & Technology Agency) during the project period of 2002-2007. He also serves as a program leader of government-funded Global COE program (2007-2011) granted to Waseda University in chemistry and materials science field. He has received several awards including the academic award of the Ceramic Society of Japan. He is a regional editor of Microporous & Mesoporous Materials (official journal of International Zeolite Association). He is currently president of the International Mesostructured Materials Association. Current research interests include inorganic materials chemistry, intercalation chemistry, nanoporous materials, silicate chemistry, inorganic polymers, sol-gel chemistry, inorganic-organic nanocomposites, and self-organized materials.
